These last few months have been a time of separation and uncertainty for all of us and we are eager to resume our normal activities, especially our worship and fellowship as a congregation. As part of the preparation for a return to in-person gatherings, our Transition Planning Team has been looking at how we can best do that and continue to protect the health and well-being of attendees.
While we know we can never make any gathering completely safe, we do want to carefully consider all of the components for safe gatherings that have been presented to us by the CDC, state and community leaders and the Dakota’s Conference leadership.
As such, the Transition Planning Team has established a tentative timeline for our return to in-person worship as follows:
Phase 1 – June 7th – July 12th
Continue online worship
Continue offering online study and devotional resources through our website.
Phase 2 – July 19th – September 6th
July 19th – Start offering outdoor worship services at the church with a special Confirmation Service (or Drive-in worship if the weather is bad).
Continue online worship and everything mentioned in Phase 1
Aug 25-27 – Offer outdoor VBS (if the schools are starting as usual in the Fall)
Transition Team - Refine plans for next phase using updated protocols for our community.
Phase 3 – September 13th
September 13th – return to in-person worship services in the church building if community health conditions allow.
If you have questions about any of this, please let me know and I'll be glad to visit with you.
5:17 BREAKTHROUGH PRAYER We are yours, O God. We offer ourselves to you; mind, body and spirit. Come and break through in our lives and in your Church. Do your work within us and through us. Fill us with your Holy Spirit and with love for our neighbors. Show us the plans you have for us and for your Church, and then give us the courage and the willingness to act on what we are shown. In the name and the authority of Christ, we pray. Amen
PRAY WITH US
Each day the people of this congregation stop at either 5:17 AM or PM for a moment of prayer. We are asking God to breakthrough in our lives, in the lives of our friends and family, in the communities where we live and in the Church. Please join us in prayer:
