Legacy Tree and Memorial Gifts

The Living Legacy Tree offers a visual reminder of the memorial gifts given to this congregation since 2010. 

This tree represents how those memorials and gifts grow and branch out in unexpected ways, offering comfort to those who seek God’s gifts and blessing. 

Any memorial fund that has received $100 or more in contributions is eligible for a golden leaf on the Legacy tree. If you are interested in honoring your loved one with a leaf imprinted with their name, please contact the church office for a Memorial Tree Leaf Request form. 

Memorial gifts are meant to preserve the memory of passed loved ones and continue their legacy in the congregation. 

These gifts are categorized as either designated or undesignated. Below is a brief description of each type of gift and how the funds may be used by the church. 

Designated-
                 Designated memorial gifts can be given towards different areas of the church’s ministry. Some designated gifts areas include: Youth and Children; Outreach and Hospitality; Building and Facility Preservation; and Unexpected Opportunities Fund. 

Undesignated- 

                Undesignated memorial gifts are kept in the memorial fund. These are generally used to start new ministries or lend support to existing ministries. Such gifts may be used by the church for non-budgeted items. 

If there is an area of ministry from the above list that you would like to designate your loved one’s memorial fund towards, please contact our office. All undesignated gifts will be placed in the Unexpected Opportunities Fund.
